Reversible ratiometric detection of highly reactive hydropersulfides using a FRET-based dual emission fluorescent probe.

Hydropersulfide (R-SSH) is an important class of reactive sulfur species (RSS) involved in a variety of physiological processes in mammals. A fluorescent probe capable of real-time detection of hydropersulfide levels in living cells would be a versatile tool to elucidate its roles in cell signalling and redox homeostasis. In this paper, we report a ratiometric fluorescent probe for hydropersulf...

A dual FRET based fluorescent probe as a multiple logic system.

A new fluorescent probe with a unique sequential dual FRET process was designed and constructed. This probe showed distinguished responses towards Fe(3+) and Hg(2+), making it an ideal candidate for multiple logic operations at the molecular level.

Nitroolefin-based coumarin as a colorimetric and fluorescent dual probe for biothiols.

A coumarin-based thiol probe featuring the 1,4-addition reaction of thiols to nitroolefin was reported. The molecular probe exhibited higher selectivity toward biothiols (Cys, Hcy and GSH) than other amino acids.

A highly selective and sensitive fluorescent thiol probe through dual-reactive and dual-quenching groups.

A new fluorescent probe installed with dual-reactive and dual-quenching groups was rationally designed for highly selective and sensitive sensing of biothiols. The sensitivity of the probe toward thiols was significantly improved by dual-quenching effects. Furthermore the selectivity of the probe was also greatly enhanced by installation of dual-reactive groups.

Developing a Fluorescent Hybrid Nanobiosensor Based on Quantum Dots and Azoreductase Enzyme forMethyl Red Monitoring

Background: Azo dyes are the most widely used synthetic colorants in the textile, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and other industries, accounting for nearly 70% of all dyestuffs consumed. Recently, much research attention has been paid to efficient monitoring of these hazardous chemicals and their related metabolites because of their potentially harmful effect on environmental issues. In contr...
